OTL Critical Thinking # 2
The hope for this blog is to create working relationships
with those who are passionate about helping individuals with disabilities find
and maintain meaningful employment in the community. Therefore, because employment
specialists are scattered through the country, a blog is an excellent tool of
sharing ideas to anyone who is interested in similar passions. A blog is also a
great tool to maintain communication without having to travel. In addition, it
is convenient for working individuals who are not able to meet in person or through
video conferencing. Blogs give us an opportunity to write content that is
unique to you and your practice (Azizinezhad & Hashemi, 2011). Therefore, a
great rationale for blogs is that we are able to develop and share our own
ideas with others in a written format that is accessible to everyone over the
internet.
The idea of this blog is to share ideas over the next six
weeks. During this time, we will discuss technology for distance learning and
will discuss technology tools of info graphics/videos, web tools, social media,
and mobile technology. Therefore, each section will have good ideas supported
by scholarly sources that will justify using these technology tools to help
create more interactive learning opportunities (Woods & Rosensburg, 2016). As
mentioned earlier, the intended audience are individuals who have the same
passion of helping individuals with disabilities find long-term employment.
Finally, the theme of this blog will be a simple format that encompasses
traditional style of interactive blogging.
